2024 - 2025 Board Members

Our Alyce Taylor PTO is a non profit, parent teacher organization, who's main purpose and mission is supporting the education of our kids here at Taylor Elementary. We do this by instituting, and sustaining communication and relationships among the parents, school, and staff. The support of this is fulfilled by the planning, organizing, and executing, the many fun events we hold here throughout the year. We organize these events to supplement the districts budget for our school to help enrich our children's education. We couldn’t do any of this without all of the support from the staff, families, and Reno/Sparks community. Thank you all!

 Hello Taylor Families, I am really looking forward to another great year on the Taylor PTO board. I am a mom of 4 girls who have or are attending Alyce Taylor Elementary. They keep my busy running to soccer, swimming and softball. If I am not at a sport event or Taylor Elementary you will find me at our family-owned business in Spanish Springs. I look forward to a fun and exciting 24/25 school year. 

I am the Vice President of the PTO here at Taylor. I am native Nevadan; I am also former Taylor Gator. My husband and two girls enjoy camping, going on sxs rides. We also make horseshoe art and spending time with friends and family! 

I will be working at Taylor as a Kindergarten Aide, which I am very excited about! 

 Hi everyone! I'm excited to be part of the PTO team for another year! I'm a mom to two amazing kids in second and third grade, and this is my third year serving as secretary. I also enjoy stepping into the classroom as a substitute teacher, which gives me a unique perspective on our school community. I love connecting with families and helping create fun, enriching experiences for our kids. Looking forward to another fantastic year together! 

 Hi, I’m Jamie Barkley. My two girls have been with Alyce Taylor Elementary for going on 3 years. I have volunteered in classrooms and with PTO since my kid's started kindergarten and now, excited to be on the PTO board as Treasurer. I have Bachelor’s in Community/ Commercial Recreation and master’s in management. I have worked as an event coordinator and an assistant to a CFO. Now, I am a stay-at-home mom and substitute teacher. I love art, dance, quilting, the outdoors, & working with children. As a board member, I want to continue to build and support the fun and enriching environment our students need to learn and grow.

Hi I am Nicole Streeter

I'm a Taylor mom. My kiddo is in 3rd grade. We have been a part of Taylor since 1st grade. I started working at Taylor in January of 2024. I'm the pre-k assistant. I love working with everyone at Taylor! And am a part of the PTO board. 

 Hello Gator Families. My name is Melissa Diedtrich and I am excited to be part of Alyce Taylor Elementary and the PTO.  This is my 4th year at Taylor and I love it here.  I hope to see you around at our school and events.  It will be a fabulous year!
